A view of the stately B&O tower at Ashford Junction NY, north of Salamanca. B&O's lines to Buffalo and Rochester diverged at this point. The Buffalo line would become part of the Buffalo & Pittsburgh, while the Rochester line would become the Rochester & Southern, both subsidiaries of parent Genesee & Wyoming.
