Mixed Bag5 viewsAn Eastbound, carrying coal loads that originated on the P&LE, winds its way through the scenic Canisteo River valley behind a mixed consist of locomotives in five different paint schemes. Leading the pack is ex-RDG GP39-2 #7410 in D&H patched Reading green, followed by a leased BAR GP38-2, a leased ex-Chessie GP40-2, another ex-RDG GP39-2 in a modified blue D&H scheme, and an ex-BN SD45 now owned by designated operator NYS&W. The train is bound for a generating plant in Bow NH.

D&H SLN-7 NYSW B40-8 #4024 Canisteo NY3 viewsNYSW B40-8 #4024 and a pair of sister units lead westbound D&H Sea-Land doublestack train SLN-7 through the town of Canisteo NY on Conrail's ex-EL Southern Tier Line. Upon reaching Buffalo, the train will head south on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh before heading west on CSX.

A splash of fall colour4 viewsA half dozen 6-axle EMDs in five different paint schemes roar through the small town of Canisteo NY with a westbound stack train. Weather beaten CP Rail SD40-2 #5593 leads a former KCS SD40-2 and two leased GATX SD40-2s, along with units wearing SOO Line and 'Dual Flag' paint.

CR SD60 #6840 East Hornell NY1 viewsOne a hub of activity in its Erie Lackawanna heyday, Hornell Yard in the Conrail era saw use mostly as a car storage facility. The former EL shop complex at this date was being used by Morrison-Knudsen to refurbish commuter rail cars. Eastbound BUOI, behind CR SD60 #6840, an SD40-2, and a GE CW40-8 are seen leaving East Hornell NY. The scenic Canisteo River Valley lies ahead.
