All three Chessie component roads are represented here, as the trailing GP30s carry B&O and C&O markings. Could #4318 once have traveled across Salisbury Viaduct, seen in the upper right corner? High Green on Sandpatch1 viewsClouds of blue diesel exhaust testify to the effort involved in moving tonnage up Sandpatch grade. A mixed quartet of second generation geeps, representing all three Chessie System component roads, shatters the morning stillness of nearby Meyersdale PA as they struggle relentlessly toward the summit. The Clear signal indication is certainly a welcome sight to the crew.
