The former EL shop complex at this date was being used by Morrison-Knudsen to refurbish commuter rail cars. The train will proceed east to a connecting track at Lanesboro PA where it will return to home rails via a complicate switchback maneuver at Jefferson Junction, necessitated by the construction work being done at the Belden Hill tunnel site to accommodate double-stack container traffic. This would be the last hurrah for the old D&H line across Ararat Summit.
